How To Install Bar Ends On Mountain Bike Handlebars

I’m going to show you how to install a
far end on a mountain bike type
handlebar I have these drop bar ends but
you can they come in a lot of different
styles you know sittin come out but I’m
gonna go ahead and install these onto
here for a race that I have coming up so
the first thing you want to do is take
your brake and ship shifters and slide
them in so you just loosen the clamps so
I’ll go ahead and loosen my shifter here
slide that in now go ahead and the brake
and here’s the clamp on that and slide
that in now I want to go ahead and take
this grip the grip that’s on there
covers the end and I need to have one
that I can slide in farther so it has
like opening uh look that’s the wrong
one
I got these other ones here they have go
all the way through so what I’m going to
do is pull the stock went off and then
just go ahead and put this new one on to
remove the old one I can go ahead and
take this very small allen wrench and
just jam it underneath the grip between
the handle bar and the grip then I can
take a little bit of rubbing alcohol
into an eyedropper and I’m just going to
go ahead and squirt it in into
underneath the grip now with it in there
I go ahead and work it around the
rubbing alcohol works as a lubricant and
then go ahead and slide that off they
pull out the small allen wrench
now you can take the new grip the
handlebar is already a little bit wet
but it helps just to go ahead and put
just a little bit of rubbing alcohol
into the new grip helps it slide on a
little easier just go ahead and twist it
on
yeah Little Rock all in there yeah hey I
think I got enough we’ll see so now go
ahead and take the bar end slide it on
then go on just loop it further there
slide it on to where it’s flush with the
end of the handle bar just to how the
angle that you want it you can always
readjust it later so that’s not a big
deal so we’ll go ahead and just tighten
it for now
take the the grip and we’re going to
twist it back into the bar end so it’s
right up tight against the bar end there
we go now just go ahead and we’ll take
the brake lever slide that over and
we’ll get it adjusted so that it’s about
the same angle as what is what it is on
the other side we’ll tighten the clamp
take the shifter slide that over tighten
the clamp make sure that’s good
approximately you level the same angles
you on the other side
sign that and you’re done you can sit
there and adjust the the various angles
of the bar in the brake and the shifter
lever now that you have them all on –
how are you

Bar ends are the connection between the handlebars and the wheel, which are located below the handlebars. These are usually made of metal such as aluminum, steel, or other materials that are designed to withstand the abuse that the bicycle is put through.

Mountain bike bar ends are often the reason why a bicycle does not have a straight ride. If the bicycle is not properly set up, you will experience a curve in the rear wheel that causes the rider to lose control of the bike. It is for this reason that it is important that these parts are placed in a position that they are hard-wearing and that they can last a long time without wearing out. This is especially important if you intend to use the bicycle for longer periods of time.

There are many manufacturers that make mountain bike bar ends. Some are made to be durable and resistant to damage while others are made to be lightweight and easy to move around. This is very important since you do not want to waste money on expensive bike parts that can no longer do their job properly if you find them to be too heavy.

The main purpose of the bar end is for stability, but it is also useful in providing support for the seat while the bicycle is being ridden. If you wish to purchase one, you should make sure that you take the measurements of the bars. Do not purchase a bar end that is too small or that is of a low height. If the measurements that you take are incorrect, it will affect the way your bar end is placed in your bicycle. You will find that these items tend to be very pricey, so you will need to do some shopping around before you make your purchase.

Another tip when purchasing a bar end is to try it out before you buy it. Make sure that you feel the parts in your hands while the bicycle is being used and not on paper. This will allow you to feel how well the item fits. Also, make sure that it is strong enough to withstand the abuse that your bicycle can take. The last thing that you want is for the bicycle bar ends to break down while riding. If you purchase something that is not as strong as it needs to be, you will find that the bicycle will suffer when the road conditions become rough.

When it comes to choosing the mountain bike bar ends, you should choose something that is both sturdy and reliable. This means that you should buy a bicycle bar end from a reputable manufacturer that makes a wide variety of products. If the part that you choose does not suit your needs, it will most likely break down soon after you receive it.
